Benefits of the forklift engineer Certified training as well as manufacturer training courses provided Working for a market leading hire company Career progression routes available Up to £41k DOE + plenty of overtime Commutable from Nottingham, this forklift engineer role is an extremely reactive position where you will support the company's needs in the day to day requirements of service, maintenance and repair of material handling equipment including electric counterbalance forklifts, diesel forklifts, articulated forklifts, reach trucks, and side loaders and manufacturers such as Toyota, Komatsu, Combilift, Caterpillar (CAT), Hyster-Yale + many more! Responsibilities of the forklift engineer include: Service and repair MHE equipment on-site and at customer locations Handle administrative tasks Maintain strong customer relationships Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure minimal downtime for your client Providing solutions to queries from customers on site, liaising with the hire desk where required Follow safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work both in our workshop and at customer sites Representing the company in a professional and knowledgeable way To be successful as the forklift engineer, it would be ideal that you have previously worked in positions such as engineer, mechanic, plant fitter, mobile plant fitter, workshop plant fitter, service fitter, service engineer, forklift engineer, mobile forklift engineer, forklift service engineer, material handling engineer or service technician. To be successful as the forklift engineer, you may have been involved with service and repairing within the forklift industry, experienced in electrical / hydraulic systems, excellent customer service skills and be a motivated / enthusiastic individual.
