Qualified Social Worker - Fostering Gloucestershire Council Pay rate up to £35 Umbrella company A fostering social worker is required to join Gloucestershire County Council's Fostering Support Team for an initial 6 month contract until June 2025. This role is ideally a full time position, offering both flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Pay rate for this position is £35 Umbrella company. The role includes supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide the best quality care to meet the needs of vulnerable children as set out in their care plan. Safeguarding is the Council's priority, and they ensure that households comply with the National Minimum Standards for fostering. They supervise 190 fostering households in the team, run support groups and support with foster carer training. The ideal candidate will be able to fit into this busy but welcoming team, undertake annual reviews, hold a caseload, and help with identifying placements for children. Regular reflective supervision is prioritised by managers in the team, and opportunities to learn and develop skills are available.
