Founding Software Engineer - Seed-stage Startup (¢5m raised)

Salary: £70k - £100k + Generous Equity Options with huge upside
Partnerscale are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a hugely ambitious, seed-stage startup who have just completed their first raise (¢5m). They are now looking to expand their technical leadership team with a Software Engineer as an additional Founding Engineer.
Benefitting from generous equity options from day one, you’ll embed yourself within the business and play a key role in shaping the future of their product vision as they head towards Series-A funding and beyond, with huge ambitions to be market leaders in their field.
Everything is primed for this rocketship of a business to fly to the next level and become the next big thing. After successfully completing seed-stage investment in 2024, they have already onboarded a portfolio of global clients, including Docker, who are successfully utilizing their platform.
Their VC backers are amongst Silicon Valley’s most respected, with previous investments in the likes of Meta, Slack, and Dropbox. The two technical co-founders have a proven track record leading the architecture and development for a business in a similar sector, which ended with a huge exit.
Who would suit this role?
We are looking for high-caliber, product-focused Software Engineers with a record of impressive academic success and ideally, a strong start to your career in Software Development & Architecture - demonstrating responsibility in designing and delivering innovative software, at pace and scale.
If this is within a hyper-growth startup, then perfect. Ultimately, you’ll be the type of developer that wants to make things happen – energy, hustle, entrepreneurial spirit, super-smart, and a desire to ship, so you understand how to make the correct trade-off with pace vs quality. We will also consider

graduates who can demonstrate these characteristics and have ambitions to grow a global startup. Language-wise, you’ll ideally have a polyglot approach, so they don’t mind which stack you have experience in. As you’d expect, the co-founders drive all the good practices you’d imagine having been there before (Iac / Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and simple yet scalable architecture). Their current stack includes C# .NET Core 8, Terraform, and HTMX, based on AWS.
