Job Description

FP&A Manager - Healthcare & Life Science research company - London - Permanent Altum Consulting are excited to be supporting a global healthcare & life science business to secure a brand-new FP&A Manager to lead all commercial finance and work closely with the CFO. The role will play a critical part in the strategic financial management of the organisation. The primary responsibility is to oversee financial planning and analysis processes, providing key insights that guide decision-making at both operational and strategic levels, collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilising your analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and trends, ultimately contributing to the company's financial goals. Key Responsibilities Identify business trends and conduct further analysis to improve the understanding of factors behind the changes/trends occurring, providing insights, conclusions, and recommendations. Monitor competitor published data and mine internal sources to gain relevant insights and inform internal stakeholders. Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, to inform decision-making. Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute strategic financial plans. Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic budgets. Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. Develop rolling forecasts to provide timely updates on financial performance. Build strong relationships with C-suite and senior leadership to understand their needs and provide value-added financial support. Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives. Required Experience Fully qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA 3-5 years FP&A experience in industry Advanced Excel with experience building financial models/reports. Advanced PowerPoint experience. Good problem solver with intellectual curiosity.
