FP&A Systems Accountant
to join our dynamic finance team to take the lead role in reformulating the Group’s Financial Forecast. This hybrid role combines financial planning and analysis responsibilities with systems expertise, ensuring that financial processes, data, and reporting systems are efficient, accurate, and aligned with business goals. The Group is undergoing a significant transformation and its old financial models need to be refactored into a new format. This will either be a Pure Excel model or will involve the implementation of a Forecasting tool such as Datarails, Vena or Planful. The successful outcome of this project will see the successful candidate playing a pivotal role in the delivery of the new financial model under guidance and support from the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, the CFO and Financial Controller, and working closely with other managers in the organisation as well as some exposure to the private equity owners of the Group. FP&A Systems Accountant
include: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Creation of a consolidated financial model for a group of four trading entities and over 10 corporate entities which meets the requirements of management, investors and debt providers. Develop and maintain financial models to support business scenarios, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives to be reflected in the financial model. Capturing the requirements of the different stakeholders over time and ensuring that these are reflected in the forecast. Producing the reports, financial and non-financial, from the Forecast. Systems Management & Improvement:
Build the Financial model either using the forecasting tool or in Excel. Data Integrity & Reporting:
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data by implementing robust controls and reconciliation processes. Ideal Profile:
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced
FP&A Systems Accountant
who has experience in a financial reporting environment either auditing or producing Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets and Cashflow statements. A quick learner who can bring core accounting skills and knowledge into a modelling environment and has experience with Finance system management or administration. To be considered for the role, we are looking for a candidate who holds a professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience in financial planning and analysis. Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience in financial and data modelling. Experience in implementing financial software in a SMB environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels. High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality. Quick learner with the ability to work independently and creatively and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Previous experience of working within telecommunications would be advantageous. The role will require working at our Oxford office and one or two days a week in London. What we offer:
