Working closely with and reporting to the Group Head of Sales, this role will have responsibility for all operational aspects of New and Used vehicle Sales for Bury St Edmunds Volkswagen. Whilst the Franchise Manager will lead and manage a controlled sales process, this is very much a ‘hands-on’ role supporting a team of sales executives and sales managers. You will offer regular coaching, management expertise, and leadership and not be afraid to work alongside the team to achieve results. You will support your team to always provide the highest level of customer satisfaction and manage all sales campaigns and promotions to maximise sales penetration, whilst controlling costs in line with dealership and department objectives as indicated by the Group Head of Sales. You will have responsibility for driving and delivering agreed strategies in line with the Sales and Marketing plan, and you will have strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to tackle any challenges. Additionally, you will have responsibility over the day-to-day site requirements. You will be the first port of call for any challenges on site and escalate any issues to the relevant departments. To be successful for this position you will have: Proven experience of delivering agreed quarterly targets Customer service ethos - delivering to the highest standards Good financial business understanding Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints Have a full UK driver's licence You will be instrumental in achieving the short- and medium-term sales objectives, whilst working toward the delivery of the longer-term strategic aims of the Division in collaboration with the Group Head of Sales and the Operations Director. To succeed, you will have an in-depth understanding of sales-related KPI’s and Financial metrics along with a demonstrable history of consistently achieving these key measures. You will possess the insight to identify current and potential risks/opportunities across the Division along with the tenacity and skills to proactively and effectively respond to these. Your Leadership style will be both innovative and collaborative with a genuine ability to positively lead your team whilst ensuring our ‘non-negotiable’ expectations are reached at all times.
