Salary: £29,000 per annum

Full-time, Permanent

We are currently representing a dynamic and innovative insurance and technology organisation, and we are on the lookout for a skilled Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage to join their Counter Fraud Services team in Salford Quays, Manchester.

As a Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for protecting the business and its customers from fraud. You will manage a caseload of suspected fraudulent accidental damage claims, conducting interviews with customers and liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather and evaluate crucial evidence. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate decisions are made based on thorough investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of suspected fraudulent accidental damage claims, ensuring compliance with claims handling procedures and SLAs. Conduct telephone interviews with customers to gather essential information for the investigation. Collaborate with external suppliers such as accident investigators, motor engineers, and panel solicitors to support the investigation process. Utilise various databases (CUE, HPI, MIAFTR) and engage with third parties to identify inconsistencies or anomalies in the evidence. Analyse reports and intelligence, including police and engineering evidence, to assess the validity of claims. Provide regular verbal and written updates to internal stakeholders and external parties involved in the investigation. Ensure accurate reserving of claims files and amend reserves as required. Meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets while maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

What we're looking for: Proven experience managing a caseload and adhering to SLAs. Strong understanding of the motor insurance industry and the implications of various indemnity levels on claims. Familiarity with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty principles, and the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence key stakeholders. Analytical skills to detect fraud patterns and inconsistencies in evidence. Excellent problem-solving, time-management, and organisational abilities. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

What's on offer: Hybrid working model: Initially, you'll be in the office for training and support, followed by a flexible working arrangement of 4 days at home and 1 day in the office (with the option to work more from the office if preferred). A supportive and vibrant team with opportunities for career development. Comprehensive benefits package, including 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

If you are an experienced fraud investigator with a keen eye for detail and a passion for uncovering fraud, we'd love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a growing business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
