We're looking for a freelance junior designer to support our client in the development of outerwear, casualwear, and accessories for a globally inspired lifestyle brand based in South London. Suitable candidates must be immediately available.
To assist in achieving and maintaining the highest possible design and production standards throughout all stages of the development process, from initial concept to final product.
The Role:
Assist in the creation of CADs and design presentations to support seasonal collections. Develop detailed and accurate tech packs for production, ensuring all specifications are clearly communicated. Conduct research on trends, materials, and techniques to support design development. Work closely with the Senior Designer to ensure consistency across all product lines. Support fittings and sample reviews, providing constructive feedback for improvements. Assist with general administrative tasks related to the design process, including file organization and communication with suppliers.
The Candidate:
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for CAD creation and design development. Strong technical knowledge of garment construction and materials. Experience in producing tech packs with precise specifications. Previous experience in a similar role within fashion, outerwear, or accessories is desirable. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and organizational skills.
