Client is a large non-departmental public body. It's a 4-8 week project. Target start date: 20th January. Looking at a product that is currently free to use and acts as a conversion tool bringing new customers in (Circa 40 million views / year) to buy any of multiple other products. The brief is to strategically review this product and deliver a set of recommendations to increase conversion rate and the overall commercial performance of the product. Joining a team of 2 (Product Director, Product Specialist). Immediate interviews. Ltd company outside IR35 or Umbrella contract. £Competitive day rate. 2 days / week in person working (London).
Some of your responsibilities will look like this:
Managing design stakeholders & coaching clients or your team to help them exercise Design Thinking, Lean UX & Lean principles, and Human Centred Design. Designing and facilitating workshops and design sprints. Conducting user research and user testing. Consulting a product owner with backlog prioritisation. Prototyping at various levels of fidelity - from paper to hi-fi click-throughs. Auditing existing user experience. What we need from you is experience with the below: In-depth knowledge of Human Centred Design and Design Thinking. Experience working closely with engineers, QA & delivery disciplines. Experience working with clients presenting design concepts and running workshops. Experience in leading UX activities on a project. Knowledge of industry-standard tools, such as Sketch/Figma, plus aptitude to learn and introduce new tools and methodologies. Experience designing mobile-first responsive sites & mobile native apps. Experience with user testing at various levels of fidelity - from guerilla user testing to lab testing. An ability to work closely with a team and the client as a sole UX Designer.
