Unite People are working with a specialist construction contractor to recruit a freelance Site Engineer for a multistory accommodation new-build project in Manchester.
Working with a main contractor, you will be part of a £75m+ project from piling and foundation stage through to RC frame, externals, and internal partitions. You will be an integral part of the team, collaborating with the project management team, other Engineers on site, sub-contractors, and some client interaction.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
CSCS Card
HND, HNC, or Civil Engineering degree is preferred
Previous experience as an Engineer, setting out build elements including groundworks and RC frame
Ability to work under deadlines, organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet construction programme targets
Understanding of setting out, using EDM/Total station
Preferably provide laptop and surveying software
You will ideally be within commuting distance of the project and have previous experience delivering construction projects such as student accommodation, private rental accommodation, or RC frames/structures.
