Unite People are working with a groundworks & earthworks contractor to hire a Site Manager, to oversee a twelve week project starting in January 2025.
You will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the earthworks, remediation and groundworks package of a new site starting up in the new year. You will be responsible for ensuring that all earthworks activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
The role is ideal for an experienced Site Manager based in the North West of the UK, with experience of managing earthworks and remediation packages.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement detailed earthworks plans in coordination with project requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure successful completion. Supervise and lead a team of machine operators, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards. Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Ensure Health and Safety Compliance. Manage labour, plant, and materials delivery. Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Groundworks Site Manager, particularly delivering roads and sewers for commercial or residential developments. CSCS Card SMSTS First Aid Strong knowledge of earthworks and remediation processes, techniques, and materials. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. How to Apply:
