- Due to our growing success, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Freight Management Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding. It is an ideal place for a candidate that’s ambitious, hardworking, and loves working in a fast-paced career. Responsibilities
- Liase with dispatchers to assign the logistics of shipments, including planning, scheduling, and tracking. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for refrigerated and containerized shipments. Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are met. Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments promptly and effectively. Maintain accurate records and reports on shipment activities and performance metrics. Updating customers on delays and issues. Using in-house transport management system to monitor and update the progress of each order. Requirements Proven experience in freight forwarding and logistics; an operational background is an advantage. Familiarity with FRIGO (refrigerated), box, or container equipment is desirable. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with carriers. Knowledge of sales processes within the freight industry. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Qualifications
- Office experience, organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with internal & external parties, strong IT skills, planning skills, professional telephone manner with a good level of customer service.
