Marketing, Communication & Creative Design Life on the team We are looking for an enthusiastic Copy Editor to support our external marketing and communications across the Computacenter Group. What we do The Translation Service is a global function, responsible for making sure that our translated content is accurate, impactful and matches Computacenter’s style across languages. We use state-of-the-art digital translation tools – you will be the human factor to make sure that the messaging has the right impact. Responsibilities Take machine-translated copy and ensure its accuracy, clarity, and consistency with our tone of voice. Review and edit articles, reports, marketing materials, and other written content. Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and other team members to maintain high standards of quality and precision in all published materials. Proofread and edit content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style consistency. Ensure tone, clarity, and flow of written materials. Maintain and enforce adherence to house style guides and editorial standards. Identify and correct inconsistencies and errors in content. Fully translate certain document types which cannot be machine translated. Provide constructive feedback to writers to enhance the quality of their work. Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively. Maintain organized records of edited content and revisions. Help the team manage the processes around translation and review. What you’ll need Fluent in French. Proven experience as a copy editor or similar editorial role. Strong portfolio of edited written work. Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style. Attention to detail and a keen eye for errors. Ability to learn about the language from new areas, technologies or industries. Proficiency in using editorial and proofreading tools (e.g., Microsoft suite, Grammarly). Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
