About The Role - Te mahi This is a full time role, for an experienced Duty Manager in Sudima Kaikoura Hotel with an hourly rate of $28.00. Minimum guaranteed hours are 30 per week. You will complete flexible shifts as a Duty Manager each week, working alongside an amazing team who will assist and support you as your career takes off. Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa Daily planning for guest arrivals and departures Smooth and accurate check in and out process Ensuring our guests are provided with exceptional 4.5 star service - a WOW factor where the personal touch makes us stand out Promptly handling any guest issues and ensuring an effective service recovery Handling of emergency situations and following of procedures to ensure the safety of Guests, Staff and Visitors Effective liaison with housekeeping, central reservations, maintenance, restaurant, conference and Moss Spa Assisting with the smooth and efficient running of the hotel in the absence of Senior Management Your 30-hour work week will include two overnight shifts from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with the remaining hours scheduled during regular shifts Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience working within a Hotel Reception environment Ability to multi-task, show flexibility and meet deadlines, calmly working under pressure. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal Leadership skills Excellent time management abilities IT literate works with accuracy with the ability to spot errors. Current General Managers Certificate is essential. Valid First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
