Full Stack Engineer opportunity with an EdTech startup. This is a fully remote role based in the UK.

This is a great opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer with a focus on Front End development. You will be using your skills to build a business with a very positive mission to provide equality in education.

You should consider this role if the following appeals to you:

✔️ You have the confidence to work autonomously but enjoy the support of a small team around you

✔️ You have a setup at home to allow you to work fully remotely and thrive in this environment

What's involved:

  • Build a web-based platform for learners
  • Work alongside the existing team in developing features including AI tools, interactive simulations and connectivity with hardware
  • Work cross-functionally, particularly with the product team, contributing to product strategy and direction
  • Create first-class user experiences, take a creative approach to challenges, and make informed UX decisions

Experience needed:

  • Current or recent experience in a tech startup or scale-up with a fast-paced environment
  • Several years experience using React commercially
  • Fluent in the use of TypeScript and JavaScript
  • Demonstrable track record of producing high-quality, well-tested code
  • Backend experience (e.g. Node.js, Prisma and SQL)
  • Strong HTML/CSS/JS skills
  • A keen interest in EdTech and creating tools to help learners develop and flourish

Nice-to-haves:

  • GraphQL & Apollo framework, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS
  • Have developed accessible, cross-platform software
  • Scaled software for a fast-growing user base
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their integration into workflows

On offer:

  • Base salary of £70k - £80k depending on experience
  • Fully remote with flexible working hours
  • Generous holiday arrangements
