The Compliance IT team provide technology solutions to support the Financial Crime Investigations function, who are responsible for the global capability to identify, investigate and manage financial crime risk and enable effective information sharing with government, grounded in advanced analytics and technology. Within Compliance IT, the Case Management IT team deliver applications to support financial crime case management across the HSBC Group. We provide a single global view of all financial crime cases, customers, transactions, increasing visibility and collaboration between investigations across the Group and between the various Financial Crime Compliance teams. Role Purpose Technical delivery of strategic financial crime investigation solutions, to pivot away from a large vendor-led monolithic application to in-house solutions on a Cloud and API-first architecture. Responsible for full stack technical delivery (with a UI focus) and providing technical guidance within a cross-functional team, ensuring adoption of Agile and DevOps processes and principles. In this role you will: Design & hands-on build/implementation of solutions to align with our future-state architecture and technology stack Collaborate with business and IT colleagues to design, deliver and support effective, performant solutions Packaging and deployment of code and infrastructure releases through test environments to production Provide production and Evergreening support for existing financial crime investigation applications, as well as future-state GCP-hosted applications Provide guidance and support within the team in adopting DevOps principles (e.g. CI/CD, automation), fostering a culture of continuous improvement To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: Proven experience writing/maintaining automation tests Proven experience of Unix and Bash scripting Beneficial to have experience of Containers and Microservices This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
