Our Retail Team is responsible for all aspects of 888/William Hill’s in-store technology, with a particular focus on integrating the online experience for our customers into our 1400+ retail shops in the UK. Your role is to keep our colleagues and customers connected, updating our existing platform and systems while ensuring our customers have cutting-edge technology at their fingertips. We’re adopting AWS at scale, and at the same time releasing high volume system upgrades into around 1400 shops across the UK. So, from the Cloud to tangible technology on the ground, we’re proud to say that we’re covering it all. As a Full Stack Engineer, based in Leeds, you're responsible for ensuring that we deliver value to our colleagues and customers while maintaining best practice, coding standards, and improving the team. What you will be doing: Implementation and documentation of solutions in collaboration with Developers, Testers, and Solution Architects Responsibility for the integrity of the software, ensuring technical debt is managed effectively in collaboration with Site Reliability teams Supporting turning guardrails into best practices and standards, and ensure adherence whilst collaborating on non-technical and technical requirements with Product Owners Collaborating on delivery with Delivery Managers Pair Programming and/or Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback Collaborating with QA to ensure tests are aligned with the solution and complement tests written by development whilst supporting for CI & release pipeline being set up for all applications delivered Organising and executing releases

Who we are looking for: To apply to this post, you will have: Working experience as a Java Developer with experience coding in Java, JavaScript/Typescript language ideally React/Node and experience working in a Scrum/Kanban framework Broad knowledge of web software development related topics and working knowledge of best engineering practices (SOLID) with experience working in multi-team environments with multiple dependencies

It would be a benefit if you have any of the following, but don’t worry if you don’t as we can support your development as required based on what you want to improve: Knowledge of AWS technologies; Docker, REST API, Linux, Bash, Python, Puppet, New Relic, Terraform with experience with automated software testing ideally using a framework such as TestCafe.
