We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer to join a trend-setting, disruptive global leader. As part of a small, Agile team, you’ll be working with cutting-edge technology for an award-winning, world-renowned designer and manufacturer of virtual production solutions and advanced camera robotics for film, HETV, and broadcast.

You’ll be translating visual concepts into responsive web apps, designing architectural solutions and focusing on optimisation. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end components of web projects, pushing boundaries within existing technology and implementing new technology to achieve the best all-round solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Manage full-stack development tasks from concept through deployment, including testing, maintenance and optimisation for maximum speed and scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate visual concepts into responsive web apps.

Client-side and server-side architectural designs and solutions.

Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless performance across different devices.

Work with back-end technologies to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to optimise performance.

Work closely with the wider technical teams in both our Cambridge and London offices (travel is not required).

Commit to continuous professional development and stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum of 4+ years of commercial full-stack web development or similar experience.

Previous involvement in full-360 development life-cycle.

Experience with UI/UX design and best practices.

Proficiency with front-end frameworks/libraries and languages such as CSS, HTML, Python/JS.

Familiarity with back-end languages, as well as defining and implementing back-end frameworks (Django REST / Fast API preferred).

Experience writing automated tasks.

Experience writing unit tests, familiarity with version control and CI/CD processes.

Familiarity with security and data protection best practices.

Familiarity with web servers (ideally including nginx).

Experience with database management systems.

Good problem-solving abilities; you are an out-of-the-box thinker.

Experience with the following preferred, but not essential: Angular, Linux/Unix, AWS/similar.

Interview Process:

Our interviews are informal and conversational, generally carried out over a 3 or 4-stage process. The first stage is a discussion with our Recruitment Manager, followed by a live technical assessment, both conducted remotely over TEAMS. The final stage involves a visit to the office to meet with senior management team members in Cambridge.
