Compassionate, experienced full-time live-in caregiver required to look after a couple in Slane, Co. Meath. Both have health conditions including dementia and cancer, are frail, and need assistance with most daily tasks including walking, dressing, using the bathroom, and taking medications. They are currently receiving nursing assistance from HSE nurses 3 times a day, 7 days a week. As a live-in caregiver, you will care for them when the nurses are not there, prepare meals, do light housework, and be able to assist them during the night if required. Ideally, you will have a driver's license and can drive them (in their own car) to medical appointments as needed. The position is 6 days a week with one day off (usually Sunday). Mondays and Fridays are light days as the mother is at the day centre. Free room and board is provided - you have your own room with TV and your own bathroom. In addition, a monthly salary is provided which is determined based on qualifications and experience. Sector: human health and social work activities Career Level
