As well as engaging with the children in their hobbies and interests, working with the children to help with homework, encouraging good manners, behavior, and healthy eating will also be part of the childcare role. During term time, you will collect the youngest girl from the school bus stop each day, prepare family meals, and oversee homework for the youngest. The older girl independently arrives home from school and manages her own homework. The girls are looking for an intelligent, proactive, and friendly person who will help keep them organized and entertained. While the girls are at school, the household duties are to include: Tidying and organizing the home Cleaning all rooms and bathrooms to a high standard Family laundry and ironing Bed linen changing Wardrobe management Grocery shopping Family-friendly cooking (homemade as often as possible) Managing household and school admin and errands In the school holidays, when the hours are increased, there will be more time to spend with the children, including organizing trips and playdates. The ideal candidate will be proactive, energetic, technology-savvy, and a competent cook. You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean license for school runs, activities, and household errands. There is a fully insured car to use on duty. The family is looking for someone who is self-motivated and would like to muck in and become part of the family.
