Full-Time Mental Health Therapist – Child/Adolescent

The job listing expires on February 7, 2025. ***You must be a Master’s level Clinician and be licensed or license eligible to practice in Massachusetts in 2025. This is NOT a remote role. You must be willing and able to commute to Bedford, MA 5 days per week.*** Creative Coping is a new psychotherapy practice in Bedford, MA, with a mission to support the mental health of kids, teens, and their parents. We provide individual therapy for kids and teens (age 6 and up), as well as parent coaching and support. Our practice is currently expanding, following a successful crowdfunding campaign to enlarge our therapy space, and we are looking to hire another full-time therapist to help us meet the overwhelming demand for our services. We encourage licensed, pre-licensed, or license-eligible mental health, social work, or counseling professionals and new graduates to apply for this full-time, salaried position. Our group practice is a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment, where therapists are encouraged to come out of their offices and get to know one another. Due to the schedule requirements of the age group we serve, our child and adolescent therapists must be able to commit to afternoon and early evening session times. This position involves close collaboration with the parents of our young clients, so in addition to experience with kids and/or teens, candidates need strong communication skills. New graduates and pre-licensed professionals are welcome to apply, and can receive supervised clinical hours towards independent licensure. What we offer: Steady stream of referrals from great families who are rewarding to work with, very appreciative of our services, and highly motivated. Weekly individual and group supervision. Opportunities for training and continuing education, advancement opportunities, and professional growth. Reasonable and humane expectations around productivity. Administrative support for intakes, scheduling, billing, and collecting payment – all you need to do is see your clients and write your notes. What we require: A Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, or psychology. Must be licensed or on track to become licensed to provide mental health services. Experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical, educational or therapeutic setting. A certain comfort level with collaborating with parents and caregivers. Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and on time. Willingness to connect and collaborate with fellow therapists. An eagerness to learn, grow, ask questions, hear feedback, and occasionally step outside your comfort zone. A few other details about the position: Compensation is salaried, with paid time off, and based on an agreed-upon target number of completed sessions. We use SimplePractice for scheduling and EHR – it’s easy and intuitive. Therapeutic materials such as games, art materials, Lego, etc are all provided. Office is in the center of town and within walking distance of many shops and cafes. Full-time clinicians have their own dedicated office. Occasional remote/telehealth sessions allow for some flexibility and working from home.
