The Opportunity At Polestar, we are on a mission to bring safe Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) to streets worldwide. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual who shares our vision. As a Function Owner, you will play a pivotal role in developing and ensuring the performance of the ADAS and AD systems that are launched in Polestar products. Your drive to develop functions that customers highly appreciate, and that also comply with legal and safety requirements. You will work both in the early concept stages, as well as in the late refining stages when the functions are adapted to ensure customer satisfaction. At Polestar, we adhere to ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards, ensuring the highest safety and quality. This role can be based in either Coventry, UK or Gothenburg, Sweden, with a hybrid remote work model that balances in-person collaboration with individual focus time. The Responsibilities Ensure an ADAS/AD function roadmap within the FO team that benefits the Polestar customers. Collaborate with experienced teams to design, develop, and tune complete ADAS/AD systems. Work closely with suppliers to ensure high quality and state of the art solutions. Ensure safe and legal ADAS/AD functions. Enable integration of ADAS/AD in the complete car. Understand the benchmarks of ADAS from other car manufacturers, rating test and ADAS/AD suppliers. The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, you are determined, flexible, and curious, with a keen interest in the ADAS and AD domain. You’ll thrive in our team if you are enthusiastic, highly motivated, and driven to succeed, with excellent organizational skills and a hands-on approach to the product. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, as we value collaboration and the ability to work seamlessly with others to achieve our goals. Qualifications M.Sc. degree in electrical or automotive engineering, physics, or a related field. Experience in applying functional safety. Experience in automotive system design and development.
