Owen Daniels have partnered with Polytec in Telford as they look to appoint a number of Operational Functional Leads who will take responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the launch of new or updated projects within the operations team, guiding the team through the entire process from concept development to post-production rollout. Polytec are a Tier 1 Automotive supplier of high-quality exterior plastic components, supplying into some of the biggest names in the Automotive industry.

MP&L Lead Multiple Vacancies Contract - 18 months minimum Outside IR35 Telford/Bridgnorth

The main function as MP&L lead will be to coordinate & control the launch of new or modified vehicle-component projects within Supply chain and Logistics, managing the team to take products from concept through to post-production launch.

Operational Functional Lead Job Description Responsible within the project team to undertake/coordinate all activities required to ensure that Supply chain and Logistics deliverables are completed in a timely manner in line with the project and PEP requirements. Represent Supply chain and Logistics in all internal and customer-facing meetings and reviews and ensure requirements are transparent to the function and business as a whole. Ensure all project activities remain within the project budget, with any deviations communicated effectively to the Project Manager. Work within the project under the direction of the PM but report directly to the Head of the Engineering function. Provide strong leadership/guidance towards all departments & groups, and manage the customer, suppliers/service providers & other internal departments via strong stakeholder management skills to ensure optimal performance.

Operational Functional Lead Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years leading Automotive Tier-1 Projects, preferably within Plastics Manufacturing. Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline preferred. Minimum of 5 years leading APQP process & all Gate Approvals. Managing cross-functional teams/matrix organisations. Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
