Functional Safety Tech Lead - ADAS (m/f/d) Job Overview EXPERIENCE : 7-15 Years LOCATION : Coventry JOB ID : 73753 NO OF OPENING : 1 Job/Position Summary As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development team and SW architecture team in the creation of safety products that fulfill the Functional Safety requirements. Working with internal, supplier, and customer specifications, you will guide engineering activities related to Functional Safety. You will independently plan the safety activities of a project, carry out work, and serve as the technical authority regarding Functional Safety. Key Responsibilities: Support the SW architect in the development of the SW safety concept. Review the SW related safety requirements from SYS, HIS, and SW. Collaborate with the SW architect in preparing information needed for SW safety analysis (e.g. Critical Path). Coordinate SW safety analysis (SW FMEA, DFA) to identify potential failures. Maintain SW safety analysis and their impact on safety. Provide guidance and support to the software development team and architect on safety-related topics like model standards, coding standards, and safety validation techniques. Represent the SW functional safety in the SW subsystem in customer meetings. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor/Master degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, embedded systems, or a similar field. Minimum 7 years of experience in Functional Safety. Hands-on software architecture experience to build automotive software platforms or products. Hands-on experience delivering the ISO26262 Part 4, Part 6, and Part 9. Object-oriented design and modeling with hands-on experience with architecture and design patterns. Familiarity with embedded systems design and low-level hardware interactions. Strong experience in middleware or application development on operating systems such as Linux, QNX. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good to have Skills: Experience in automotive domains such as ADAS, Infotainment, Adaptive AUTOSAR. Understanding of Adaptive AUTOSAR specifications. Knowledge of MBSE. Knowledge of methodologies such as ASPICE, MISRA guidelines, and functional safety standards like ISO26262. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD environments for embedded systems. Experience in configuration management and change management methodologies. Experience in Matlab and Simulink.
