We’re looking for Fundraisers to join our May 100 Fundraising Committee. May 100 brings 100+ people together to each do something active to raise money for Flamingo Chicks.
It’ll be an exciting project and one which should be very rewarding in terms of outcome, knowledge and skills to be imparted, and teamwork. Great experience to have on your CV!
We will have pre-arranged zoom committee meetings running fortnightly during April and May, from 12.15 - 1PM. We’re looking for people who have:
A passion and interest in being active, dance or sport
A willingness to share ideas and help others
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds
A team player
A passion for caring for people with disabilities
Whilst any fundraising experience would be great, it is not essential!
We're a tiny team and like many charities we’ve seen a significant drop in income, alongside this huge surge for our help. Your time and skills will be invaluable to maximise our fundraising, which in turn will benefit disabled children and their families throughout the UK.
Flamingo Chicks
Flamingo Chicks creates an inclusive community giving disabled children and those with illnesses such as cancer the opportunity to enjoy ballet alongside friends. We are passionate about providing an inclusive, fun and rich dance experience for children, by translating a version of ballet that is accessible to all, regardless of ability. For some, they are able to learn traditional moves such as pirouettes or arabesques, explore the characters and composers. For others, the focus is a sensory experience enriched with colourful props and magical stories. We ensure that all children can experience the physical and wellbeing benefits.
