The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games are collaborating on an all-new games and entertainment universe.
In addition to being a world-class games experience, this new persistent universe will offer a multitude of opportunities for consumers to play, watch, and engage with content, characters, and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more.
Players, gamers, and fans of all kinds will be able to create their own stories and experiences, express their fandom in a distinctly Disney way, and share content with each other in ways that they love. Epic is looking for experienced FX Artists to join our dynamic team, contributing across various aspects of FX for our collaboration with Disney. A successful candidate should have a strong sense of dramatic effects and an understanding of how to recreate them in a real-time particle editor. They will be, first and foremost, a team player while also having the ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously. If you have a strong sense of weight, timing, and motion, and you demonstrate technical aptitude with Materials and Logic, we are ready for you to bring those abilities to execute outstanding FX in our games. In this role, you will
Bring a wide variety of FX to life in a dynamic world Own the entire process, from concept to reality in a variety of art styles that don't rely on spritesheet animation Show the team what an FX Artist armed with Houdini can add to the mix Create lasting memories and experiences that inspire all generations of players What we're looking for
Must have a strong reel/portfolio showing your best real-time FX work Well versed in carrying FX tasks from conception to completion, owning the entire process Experienced using Houdini to create art assets and tools for real-time FX needs in Unreal Comfortable working with Blueprint You enjoy sharing and teaching those around you what's possible with Houdini in your toolkit You understand the shifting scale of quality and how to achieve it when working on a multiplatform project EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFE
We pay 100% for benefits except for PMI (for dependents).
