The role We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our MIS team. In this dynamic and hands-on role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness, scalability and security of ICE's systems. You will collaborate with internal developers, external suppliers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing advanced testing frameworks, driving automation, and ensuring seamless functionality across complex system architectures. A full-time position requiring 36.25 hours per week, with occasional additional hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines. Key responsibilities include: Quality Assurance & Testing

Lead functional, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles for all MIS development projects. Define, establish and enforce standardised QA methodologies. Plan, prepare and execute comprehensive test strategies, leveraging automation tools like Selenium or Playwright. Review and approve test evidence, ensuring alignment with agreed acceptance criteria and business requirements. Implement automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and accelerate regression timelines. Conduct regular regression testing to ensure core system features comply with technical standards. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with internal teams and third-party developers to identify, document, and resolve software issues. Influence business leads and external vendors to prioritise defect management and maintain project schedules. Coordinate UAT resources, ensuring adherence to testing standards and methodologies. Identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and implement improvements in testing workflows. Provide expert advice to business users on process enhancements and system utilisation. Ensure compliance with data protection and security standards during all testing activities. What we’re looking for in you:

Technical Expertise:

Proficiency in manual and automated testing for large-scale systems. Extracting, validating, and transforming data from D365 CRM, including testing workflows, plug-ins, and custom entities to ensure the accuracy and performance of reports and integrations. Integration and System Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of multi-tier D365 CRM architectures, RESTful APIs, and middleware, ensuring robust testing of data flows between Dynamics 365, Power BI, and other connected Microsoft systems. Database Testing and SQL for Microsoft SQL Server: Advanced SQL skills for testing and validating relational data models within Microsoft SQL Server, writing complex queries to support data integrity and performance validation. Experience with CMS platforms and front-end testing of web technologies. Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience. ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or Certified Agile Tester certification preferred. Professional Skills:

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to evaluate system requirements, troubleshoot, and resolve defects within Dynamics 365 (D365) CRM and web-based tools, ensuring data integrity and efficient processes across different environments. Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to coordinate between internal teams, external suppliers, and business units, ensuring effective communication of technical concepts in support of UAT and system updates. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage concurrent tasks from different projects and stakeholders in high-pressure environments. Project Coordination: The ability to lead testing cycles for different products, ensuring thorough UAT, prioritisation of development requests and timely defect resolution within project timelines. Process Improvement and Documentation: Experience in documenting test cases, automation scripts, and issue resolution processes, ensuring accurate reporting and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement and User Support: The ability to engage with business leads and departmental users to improve their understanding and use of CRM-related functionalities, supporting business processes through tailored training and guidance.
