We are seeking a talented and creative Game Animator to join our clients extensive and experienced team. Successful applicants will be responsible for producing captivating animations using their in-house tool, as well as industry standard software, for a wide range of mobile games. As a Game Animator, you will play a crucial role in developing visually appealing and engaging animations for their online products. Your work will contribute to enhancing the overall user experience and providing appeal to a wide array of products. Animators will also be expected to artwork other artists’ game designs, transferring them to their game engine via Photoshop and sprite sheet exports, ensuring they are optimal for animation production. This role suits candidates who are driven and self-sufficient. Our client produces a high variety of games at a consistent pace, meaning they rely heavily on their internal processes and adherence to them.

Key Responsibilities

Create high-quality, visually stunning animations using our in-house animation and game-engine as well as external tools such as After Effects and Spine. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, artists, and developers, to understand animation requirements and integrate animations seamlessly into our products. Preparing game artists’ artwork ensuring it is animation-ready and optimal, then building them into the game engine to test and finalize. Conceptualize and storyboard animations to ensure effective storytelling and convey key messages. Optimize animations for performance and compatibility across different devices and platforms. Stay up to date with industry trends, new tools, and techniques to continuously improve the quality and impact of animations. Take ownership of projects, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising quality. Contribute to the development and improvement of their in-house animation tooling, providing feedback and suggestions based on your experience and expertise. Work closely with their Lead Animator to improve processes and overall quality of the games. Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Animation or a related field. Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in 2D animation for games, showcasing your ability to bring characters, objects, and environments to life. Proficiency in using animation software, game-engines, and creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Unity, Blender, etc.). Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and other work management platforms. Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, weight, and anticipation. Experience in the gambling or gaming industry. Knowledge of the online gambling market, game mechanics, and user experience principles. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, taking and giving constructive feedback to enhance the creative process. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas, discuss animation requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for aesthetics. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving industry, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Bonus Skill
