British Garden Centres is a well-known large UK retailer known for its high-quality customer service, plants, and restaurants. As a growing family business, we are driven to have the best quality customer service in our Garden Centres. We are currently looking for a permanent Garden Centre Team Leader – Goods In at our Ramsgate Garden Centre. You will be responsible for ensuring the Goods in area runs smoothly through both managing the team and stock. This role will be for a minimum of 39 hours per week including weekends. There will also be the chance to work plenty of overtime, so ideally you will be able to be flexible. Requirements of the Role:
Strong communication skills and be professional. Must be able to count stock and use a handheld device in order to ensure it is booked in correctly. Be dedicated to high standards of customer service. Good working knowledge forklifts and of health and safety (opportunity to get license if not obtained). Experience leading a team and managing stock. Duties will include:
Booking in stock and checking stock amounts. Keeping spreadsheets up to date. Organising the warehouse and ensuring yard is kept tidy. Filling compost and assisting in other areas where required. Supporting with unloading lorries and ensuring health and safety is kept to standard. Managing the team and assisting the centre manager. Supporting in other areas of the centre when required.
