We are looking for a talented Garden Designer to join our design and build company to head up the design side of the business. We are a complete garden design and build company that specializes in carrying out large scale complete garden projects from start to finish. We have 20 employees who are all employed and build to a very high standard and have been trading for 31 years.
All of our projects are around the Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells area and down into East Sussex, so it is all local work based around the office.
You will be joining a small but very successful team who pride themselves on delivering high quality gardens to the domestic market.
The successful candidate must have the following skills & qualifications:
Diploma or degree in garden design/landscape architecture with a good experience of designing gardens (ideally 3-5 years).
Excellent client-facing skills and communication abilities, as you will be dealing with clients and the build teams directly.
Proficiency in Vectorworks, SketchUp, Photoshop, etc.
An excellent eye for design and the ability/ desire to push the boundaries on materials and garden design.
Good knowledge of overseeing garden builds and the ability to work alongside the management team to ensure gardens are built to exacting standards.
Planting and soft landscaping knowledge is crucial, as this is a significant part of the role; you must be able to design and implement planting schemes.
A wide range of material and construction knowledge will be essential.
An outgoing personality and a strong drive, along with a good design ethos and the ability to lead.
This will be a full-time role as a full-time employee on PAYE with a competitive salary based on your experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to progress within an established company that can offer high-level design and construction experience.
