We are a large primary school with over 700 pupils currently on roll and are seeking to appoint an experienced and efficient Safeguarding Officer.
The successful applicant will be a member of our friendly and hardworking Pastoral Support Team and will play a leading role throughout the school to support the Senior Leadership Team in providing a safe environment for our pupils to learn in.
The role encompasses all aspects of safeguarding including child protection, e-safety, safe working practices, and staff training. There is a need to work in partnership with outside agencies to provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for our pupils. The postholder will need to build links and work in partnership with parents, carers, and professionals to promote the wellbeing of the children in the care of our school.
The hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday, term time and 5 INSET days plus 1 week to be worked in the summer break (40 weeks per annum). The pay is set at Kent Range 7 £23,598 - £25,677 pro rata per annum (£26,515 - £28,850 for a full-time position). The working times are 8.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00 am to 3.30 pm on Friday.
We require a good standard of general education and GCSE qualifications or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above. Verification of qualifications will be required before employment can commence therefore, please
