We are looking for a Garment Technologist to join us on our Knitwear and Jersey department. This opportunity will also involve managing our Kidswear product. Our Garment Technology team partners closely with the design and buying departments to assure the fit and quality of our product along with its technical capabilities from first sample through to delivery. Our team assesses our supply base for its social and ethical sustainability and monitors new and existing suppliers’ compliance to our standards of make and delivery. The Garment Technologist will be responsible for ensuring a consistent fit across our Phase Eight collection. They will strive to enhance and continuously evaluate the quality of our product and improve garment fit. Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with Design and Buying:

Work closely with these teams to understand and interpret seasonal design needs and optimise size ranges for maximum sales. Lead Fit Sessions:

Attend fit sessions with designers and buyers to evaluate samples and provide clear feedback on fit, communicating comments and specifications to suppliers promptly. Manage Sealing Process:

Oversee the sealing process, emphasising a "right first time" approach to ensure timely submission of samples. Collaborate with Senior Technical Manager:

Partner with the Senior Technical Manager to address any issues or bottlenecks and prioritise samples according to critical path requirements. Analyse Fabric Test Reports:

Review and approve bulk size specifications based on fabric test reports. About You As the Garment Technologist, you will need to demonstrate knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, grading, and testing across multiple product categories. Technical expertise in Knitwear and Jersey is essential for success in this role, as well as attention to detail and strong communication skills to manage relationships across various departments.
