Mode Search is exclusively partnered with a Luxury Brand in their search for Garment Technologist & Product Developer
This beautiful luxury womenswear label has become known in the industry as the epitome of modern femininity. The British brand offers both RTW and a bespoke couture. This position would be based on our clients head office in Kensington, the successful candidate will report to the head of Atelier.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Drive product innovation and quality, balancing design, customer, and manufacturer needs.
- Assess product quality and cost; recommend changes to meet customer needs and design objectives.
- Monitor critical path; flag and address development issues to meet deadlines.
- Communicate updates and changes effectively with the team.
- Update Tech Packs through SMS and production fittings; track changes across BOM, CAD, make, lay plans, model files, and measurements.
- Conduct wear tests and dry-cleaning tests during sampling.
- Ensure quality and fit consistency across collections; manage standards in the supplier manual.
- Communicate fit, quality, and construction standards to manufacturers through fitting comments.
- Collaborate with the Head of Atelier and Production Director on fabric/garment quality issues.
- Prepare samples for fit meetings, including pressing and inspecting reference samples.
- Oversee sample quality checks, measurement accuracy, and finishing (e.g., sewing on buttons).
- Visit factories to ensure alignment with quality and performance standards.

- Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, and fitting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite.
