The successful candidate will lead a team of data analysts to manage Gas Data services in delivering data to customers/suppliers in line with the industry SLA's.

The role entails managing the collection and distribution of Gas data, analysing and reporting performance and coordinating with other SMS departments and 3rd parties to ensure SMS maintains high levels of customer service. Data delivery SLA's must be monitored and maintained in line with SMS's Customers contract SLA's.

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure accuracy and volume of data flowed to our customers meet their specific SLA's the SMS Data team members must be managed so that tasks such as planning revisits, analysing daily reports for devices in error and the completion of customer raised queries are all completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. The SMS Data Team Manager must also look to offer support and guidance to the team whilst also continuing their development and progression so that the foundations of the department remain strong. In addition to managing data delivery and the Gas Data team the role also encompasses the responsibility to drive both the development of automation solutions as well as internal systems in accordance with customer and technical requirements and changes to industry legislation. Ensure systems are updated with relevant information to ensure correct setup and distribution of data for deployed devices. Manage and control departmental P&L in line with targets. There is also a responsibility to oversee the stock handling and manufacturing of logger devices in line with SMS operational targets and ensuring product reuse in the field to minimise logger stock shortages. To be considered for this role, we would love you to have/be:

Degree educated. Previous experience leading a team successfully. Good management skills and be able to ensure SMS continues to deliver excellent customer service across Data. A good communicator and willing to take on interesting and varied tasks. An interest in technology and IT systems innovation. Interested in or have experience with mobile devices, telecommunications, electronics design and manufacturing. Highly IT literate, with good PC skills, and possibly previous experience in automated file flows or information transfer. A good problem solver and communicator. A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work on one's own initiative. Excellent attention to detail. All of our roles are based on 40 hours per week, with a 30 minute unpaid break for lunch.
