The Role: Gas Engineer / Project Supervisor As a member of our client's field-based team, the Gas Engineer / Project Supervisor will be responsible for carrying out inspections, repairs, and maintenance works in boiler rooms/plant rooms as well as supervising gas installation works on-site. This role requires undertaking the full scope of commercial gas works, including servicing and repairs, in line with current gas safety regulations, installation, and use standards, and the company's standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities: Develop and review project schedules to ensure project delivery on time and within budget. Ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of projects. Manage project administration, documentation, and communication with clients, team members, and key stakeholders. Develop and maintain close relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Troubleshoot and devise solutions to problems that arise during the project lifecycle. Provide project status reports to senior management regularly. Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices. Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, obtaining a suitable number of competitive, accurate quotations for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates. Commercial boiler service and repairs. Commercial gas installation and repairs. Reactive maintenance work. Work collaboratively as a key member of the team. Key Skills and Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years' experience working within this field. Hold a full, clean UK driving license. City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ 2/3 in a mechanical discipline. Boiler breakdown and servicing experience essential. Commercial/Domestic Gas Certification. OFTEC Registered. Unvented water systems. IPAF and PASMA qualification. DBS. Additional Information: Full-time: 40 hours per week (8:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour unpaid lunch). 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Field-based with van and fuel card provided.
