Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer and plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in residential settings. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in various environments. Duties Install, service, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems. Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Use power tools and hand tools to perform installations and repairs efficiently. Perform heavy lifting as required when moving or installing equipment. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and plumbers to complete projects. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gas systems. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in gas engineering or a related field. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform basic maths for measurements and calculations. Experience with welding techniques is advantageous. A valid driving licence. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during installations or repairs. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assemble various components accurately. A background in plumbing.
