: Conduct fault diagnosis, repairs, and renewal works, along with planned preventative maintenance tasks. Mechanical Maintenance
: Routine maintenance of boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, and domestic components such as Heat Interface Units (HIUs), heat meters, two-port valves, and associated metering and billing systems. Comprehensive Energy System Work
: Oversee maintenance from traditional heating and cooling plants to domestic HIUs and metering/billing systems. Health & Safety Compliance
: Adhere to relevant Health & Safety practices on-site and ensure all work complies with legislation and service level agreements (SLAs). Heating and Cooling Equipment Maintenance
: Maintain equipment associated with Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) heating and chilled water systems. Use of Technology
: Use laptops and tablets to commission metering equipment, update records, and maintain systems. Problem Solving and Communication
: Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues, coordinating with other trades and the main contractor. Client and Contractor Liaison
: Represent the company on-site, liaising with clients, principal contractors, consultants, and heating/plumbing sub-contractors. Site Surveys and Installations
: Conduct site surveys and assist the Delivery Team with the installation of new systems. HIU and Metering Equipment
: Replace, maintain, and service HIUs, as well as install and replace heat meters on district heating networks (primarily in occupied homes). Work Environment and Schedule: Primary Location:
Field-based, with occasional meetings in the London (WeWork, Moor Place) and Peterborough (Stuart House) offices. Travel Requirements:
Available to travel across the UK, including occasional working weeks away from home and overnight stays. Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30. Includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks each working day. Breaks are to be scheduled between jobs, ensuring minimal disruption to work responsibilities.
This role requires flexibility and the ability to manage time effectively while balancing fieldwork, office meetings, and travel commitments. Qualifications, Skills & Attributes: Commercial & Domestic Gas Qualifications
: COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CCN1, WAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1 (with a minimum of six months remaining prior to renewal). Plumbing and Heating Certification
: NVQ Level 2 or higher in plumbing and heating is essential. Experience
: Knowledge of heating control systems and prior experience in service and maintenance environments, particularly within district/community heating schemes, large-scale plant rooms, or energy centres. Industry Knowledge
: Understanding of communal/district heating schemes and experience working within the service industry. Desirable Qualifications and Experience: Desirable Qualifications
: NIC 18th edition in domestic wiring (or equivalent) preferred, but not required. Smart Metering Experience:
Previous experience with smart metering systems, RF networks, or similar field-based technologies is preferred. SMSTS or SSSTS Health & Safety certification is desirable. Additional Requirements: Clear Driving Licence:
