Gas & Water Compliance Officer (P01713) Starting salary £40,489pa with potential progression to £43,690pa on achieving designated skills and experience 37 hours per week (hybrid working) With over 9000 homes in our borough, we are proud of our 99.98% gas safety compliance rate – but we can always do better. If you are passionate about making a difference and driving service improvements through effective and robust contract management, we would like to hear from you. As our Compliance Officer (Gas and Water Hygiene), you will take a lead role in managing all aspects of Gas and Water Hygiene work, overseeing our ongoing programme of upgrades of our boiler replacement programme. Managing a range of contractors, you will oversee small, medium and large-scale projects putting the customer’s needs at the heart of all your projects. Health and Safety must be at the forefront of your work. You will ensure policies are adhered to throughout the service and have experience in producing and interpreting KPIs to drive continuous improvements across the contracts. The Ideal Candidate It is essential you have relevant technical knowledge and experience of managing operational contracts. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to work and the skills to introduce new ideas and working practices. This role requires Gas Safe Registration or a Level 4 VRQ in Gas Safety Management plus BOHS P901: Legionella Management or an HABC Level 2 Award in Legionella Awareness or equivalent experience. You will need a strategic mindset, excellent budgetary control experience, and most of all, the desire to drive improvements, ensure continued high levels of contractor performance, and deliver the values and behaviours set out by the council.
