Making A Difference as Gazetteer & GIS Technical Officer in the Strategic Growth Department.

We are seeking to recruit an LLPG/LSG Officer with a sound technical knowledge and understanding of GIS, particularly MapInfo, to join our Corporate GIS Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Councils Local Land and Property Gazetteer and Local Street Gazetteer. The Corporate GIS team receive a wide variety of mapping requests; therefore, the successful candidate will require a positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach to work within this context.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update the Local Land and Property Gazetteer and Local Street Gazetteer. Handle various mapping requests. Demonstrate sound judgement and a flexible approach to problem solving. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements: Sound technical knowledge of GIS, particularly MapInfo. Excellent communication skills. Enthusiastic and committed to the role.
