The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is responsible for transforming Greater Cambridge through a City Deal aimed at unlocking the economic growth potential of the area over the coming decades and realizing thousands of new jobs and homes. The development and delivery of major transport infrastructure is vital to the future economic well-being of Greater Cambridge. The GCP Transport programme is a cornerstone of the City Deal initiative and aims to develop a sustainable transport network for Greater Cambridge that keeps people, businesses, and ideas connected as the area continues to grow. The Greater Cambridge Partnership offers completely flexible working arrangements which include hybrid working, job share, and part-time or full-time agreements. Although the office for the Greater Cambridge Partnership will continue to be based in the city of Cambridge, we are flexible on location and working pattern, and actively encourage flexible working. What will you be doing?

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be developing one or more of our exciting projects such as the Active Travel Projects or the City Access Programme. The post holder will be required to oversee and manage multimillion-pound budgets for transport projects, which will have long-lasting benefits for people who live, visit, and work in Greater Cambridge. You will be working with a team of experienced project managers from varying backgrounds coming together to deliver key infrastructure projects for the Greater Cambridge area. We need someone who is firmly focused on delivery to time and budget and who is prepared to tackle the challenges that come with the unique location and context of Greater Cambridge. Navigating a complex governance environment, you will be politically astute, with the ability to build consensus and credibility with civic, academic, and business stakeholders, to deliver high levels of impact at a local, sub-regional, and national level. Experience in construction will be very beneficial for this role. You will require an excellent understanding and experience of infrastructure delivery within a local authority or central Government context. Interviews
