We are seeking a friendly and efficient General Assistant to join our team in Brentwood, United Kingdom. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organisation's daily operations from Monday to Friday, supporting various aspects of our service delivery. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following established menus and recipes Maintain cleanliness and organisation of front-of-house areas, including proper arrangement of dishes and utensils Adhere to food safety protocols, ensuring proper food handling and storage procedures Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to management Provide excellent customer service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing concerns and special dietary requirements Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards Support the team in creating a welcoming and efficient dining environment Assist with additional tasks as required to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications

Food Hygiene Level 2 certification or willingness to obtain Previous experience in education catering is desirable Good understanding of health and safety practices in a food service environment Excellent organisational skills with great attention to detail Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting Outstanding customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to changing priorities Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods Basic numeracy and literacy skills Enthusiasm for creating a positive dining experience for students and staff Additional Information
