In this role, you'll be at the heart of our facility's operations, working closely with the Head of Engineering to maintain and enhance the performance of our bottling production lines. Your days will be dynamic and varied, from swiftly responding to breakdowns to proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact production. As a general engineer you'll play a vital role in installing new machinery, providing technical support to machine setters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Breakdown Response: Quickly diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production.

Pre-Planned Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance planners to schedule routine maintenance tasks and conduct thorough inspections to prevent issues.

Issue Identification and Resolution: Analyse data to identify recurring problems, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.

Support for Machine Setters: Provide guidance and training to machine setters, ensuring optimal machine settings for quality and efficiency.

Installation of New Machinery: Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration into existing production lines.

To excel in this role as a general engineer, you'll need proven experience in a similar manufacturing or bottling environment, with a strong electrical background being highly desirable. Technical expertise in mechanical systems, automation, and PLC programming will be essential, along with excellent communication skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
