About the Role We are a small dynamic company with our manufacturing and distribution facility based in Christchurch. The role is based in Christchurch and will suit a proven Manager who could lead our operations and sales team, oversee our Trans-Tasman activities, and drive our success in both New Zealand and Australia. Duties As the business leader you will report directly to the North Island based business owner. You will be responsible for end-to-end services to our suppliers and customers by: Undertaking and managing the operations at the warehouse that include manufacturing, distribution and administrative functions Handling import/export processes across the Trans-Tasman region Planning and managing export orders to BetaVet Australia Being a consultative and proactive leader of your small team of dedicated staff Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and business partners Developing competitive pricing strategies to ensure market success Undertaking and managing purchasing and inventory Working collaboratively with the Sales team in New Zealand and Australia to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that will drive revenue and market share Ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting Skills and Experience · A highly motivated leader who can work in values centric way and who has proven previous experience in a similar managerial role · An understanding of Trans-Tasman import/export processes · Skills in pricing strategies and managing profitability · The ability to manage the operations of a manufacturing and warehouse facility end to end · Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office, Cin7 Core and Xero an advantage) · The ability to manage detail accurately · Be able to work to deadlines · Customer and supplier focused with good follow-up · Excellent communication skills · Ability to multi-task · A can-do attitude with the ability to problem solve Benefits · Competitive salary reflective of your expertise and experience · Opportunity to grow your career · Friendly and motivated team Applicants MUST have NZ Citizenship / Residency or a VALID NZ Work Visa.
