About the Role: ITP are partnered with a innovative manufacturing business based in Coventry who are looking to add an experienced
General Manager
to lead the day-to-day operations of a rapidly growing engineering firm. This key role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for driving performance, growth, and customer satisfaction while managing a diverse team and meeting the company’s financial objectives. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Culture:
Lead the daily operations of the business, fostering a culture of high performance and achievement across all levels of the organisation. Team Management:
Manage a workforce of 100+ employees, with responsibility for recruitment, training, progression, and disciplinary matters. Customer Focus:
Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction across all business functions and strive for excellence in service delivery. Financial Management:
Oversee the company’s budget, ensuring financial targets and objectives are met. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements that drive productivity, efficiency, and quality. Departmental Oversight:
Collaborate with department heads to ensure all targets are met, supporting the overall success of the business. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Proven experience in
Senior Management
within an
engineering environment , particularly in
Laser Cutting, Sheet Metal, or Fabrication . Demonstrated success in growing organisations and achieving profitable returns, with a strong customer service focus. Strong understanding of
P&L management
and the ability to make strategic, profit-driven decisions. Excellent
financial acumen ,
commercial skills , and a collaborative leadership style. Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Energetic, outgoing , and confident with a natural ability to lead.
