Renowned for its welcoming community, stunning, and rich history, the club is now seeking a dynamic and commercially astute General Manager to position the club for a prosperous and established future within the industry. The Blackwood Golf Club is well placed to build its membership base, expand services, improve on and of course facilities, increase external stakeholder involvement and engage more purposefully with the local and wider community. The role of General Manager has been rescoped to capture the requirements of the Committee of Management and the future focus of the club’s potential. Reporting directly to the Committee of Management, the General Manager will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies to foster a cohesive and high-performing team culture, whilst developing improvements to and overseeing daily operations across administration, food and beverage and retail. The General Manager will work closely with the Course Superintendent to ensure the presentation of a quality golf course. The General Manager is responsible for the overall financial performance of the club and commercial viability of all departments. The General Manager will be required to engage with sponsors and create opportunity for strategic partnerships and commercial growth activities, that assist with brand positioning and marketing of membership value for a variety of stakeholder groups. The General Manager will be expected to identify efficiency gains within the club and promote an innovative and dynamic culture. You will be a suitably experienced Executive membership professional, with demonstrated success in an aligned environment.You will have a strong history of cultivating sound and beneficial relationships within a membership-based environment with internal and external stakeholders to both enhance club reputation and advocate for future opportunities and sustainable growth within the broader community. You will be experienced in a compliance led landscape and uphold high standards of safety, service and sustainability.
