hotel is set in a breath-taking environment of glaciers, alpine lakes, sparkling rivers, and New Zealand’s tallest peak, the mighty Aoraki/Mount Cook. Operating 365 days of the year, the Hotel complex comprises over 250 rooms across several accommodation types, five food and beverage outlets, as well as a range of unique outdoor experiences. Peak season we host over 550 in-house guests and staffing of over 200 through the summer, to ensure high levels of guest experience. Additionally, more than 400 day-visitors enjoy our facilities. You may be an incumbent General Manager seeking to add diversity to your career in a uniquely challenging environment, or a highly talented EAM on the rise. You will have proven leadership capability to build, engage, and motivate teams, an unwavering passion for guest experience, and the ability to manage through change. What you will bring to the role: Consistently high standards, with a hands-on management style, and proven leadership qualities. Proven experience, domestically, or internationally, in Hotel Management at a senior level. An end-to-end understanding of the customer journey for optimal hotel and guest experiences to leverage revenue opportunities and deliver guest satisfaction. The skill to develop your leadership group into a highly effective unit that creates high performing, engaged, and collaborative teams across the business. Have excellent financial acumen and the ability to manage resource allocation and ensure business goals are met. Professionalism and skilled communication in dealing with guests, colleagues, and staff. A confident and collaborative working style that encourages feedback, continuous improvement, and always demonstrates professionalism. The role and benefits: This position is a fulltime, permanent position, based on site in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. Applicants should be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
