PIQUE Pique is a brand new Restaurant - Cafe - Bar in the heart of Gosforth, serving Brunch, lunch, and evening menus. With a South American style serving Tacos, Ceviche, Steaks, and Brunch favorites alongside a relaxed cocktail menu focusing on Tequila, Mezcal, and Pisco style drinks. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for fine food and drink and can bring their own flair and passion. Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, particularly within food production and restaurant management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and the ability to drive team performance while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Duties Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the restaurant and bar operations. Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a high-performing team. Ensure adherence to food safety standards and regulations at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to enhance menu items and improve overall dining experience. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels. Monitor inventory levels and manage supplier relationships for timely deliveries. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency. Prepare reports on operational performance, including sales, costs, and staffing needs. Skills Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality sector, preferably in a restaurant or bar environment. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen operations is essential. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage management is advantageous but not essential.
