Role Purpose:

Oversee and manage all aspects of health & safety, facilities, production, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations. Ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our manufacturing processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that products are delivered on time and on budget.

What you’ll be doing:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Oversee and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities and the safety of our employees.

Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for Production, Warehousing, Distribution & Logistics departments in alignment with company vision.

Provide strong leadership and guidance to department managers and employees, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Set performance targets and drive accountability to achieve operational excellence and maximize productivity.

Oversee all manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost efficiency.

Collaborate with production, engineering and stores teams to optimize workflow, minimize downtime, and resolve any operational issues that may arise.

Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Manage and optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and order fulfilment.

Develop and maintain effective warehouse layout and material handling systems to ensure timely and accurate order processing.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels to meet customer requirements.

Monitor and analyse key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

Lead and implement ideas for continuous improvement, in line with lean six sigma methodologies.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols across all manufacturing and distribution operations.

Champion a culture of safety awareness and enforce safety policies within factory and warehouse facilities.

Person Specification

In addition to this, you will possess the following:

Qualifications

Desirable: Degree in Engineering, preferably with an Electronics focus.

Experience

Essential: Proven experience in a senior management role within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on health and safety, production, and warehousing.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

Knowledge

Essential: Expertise in Electronics, including SMT production and assembly of electronic goods;

Knowledge of automation and Lean manufacturing, gained through hands-on delivery of projects;

Minimum Lean six sigma Green belt.
