Do you have strong Food & Beverage, Weddings and Hotel Operations Management experience?

We have a very exciting opportunity for a General Manager of Operations to join the team at the luxury Newton Hall Estate, situated on the Northumberland Coast.

As the General Manager of Operations, you will work alongside our Estate General Manager, to ensure the smooth running of this large estate comprising:

Luxury Wedding Venue with private wedding chapel or beach wedding facilities, delivering 200 exclusive weddings a year.

17 Exquisite Bedroomed Luxury Newton Hall

27 bespoke individual Garden Rooms with hot tubs.

The Joiners Arms, Gastro Pub with 9 boutique bedrooms.

You will work closely with all departments with direct reports including Heads of Department, across the Estate. You will have experience in delivering luxury, tailored Weddings, with a strong focus on Food & Beverage & Housekeeping service delivery. An eye for detail is essential. A strong financial understanding is essential to drive revenue and manage costs, including payroll.

A key part of the role is several essential activities, including but not limited to:

Delivering exceptional Weddings, tailored to individual requirements.

Driving operational standards.

Shift planning, budget review, F&B Control.

Ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory and legal requirements across the Estate.

Supporting the General Manager, and senior management team with a proactive, positive, forward-thinking mindset.

About you:

You’ll have experience of a senior management role in a large Hotel or wedding venue overseeing food & beverage, with a strong weddings focus, whilst line manager for housekeeping, maintenance and front office.

You have a guest & colleague service-orientated approach and a passion for high standards.

Efficient in the use of technology and interfaces that support the operation.

Skilled at coaching, training, and developing a team.

A strong compliance understanding across Food Safety/H&S/Fire/Employment Legislation, with the ability to coach Managers/HOD’s in Compliance Management.

You will be organised, flexible and able to work well under pressure, happy to jump in when required.

You are a result-oriented problem solver, who can bring new ideas and thinking to engage our passionate team.

Ability to develop links with the local community, and educational establishments, to foster our reputation locally as an Employer of Choice.
