Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a mission to make golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team at Redlibbets Golf & Country Club.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year.
The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 600 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community-oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.

Role Purpose
Redlibbets Golf and Country Club is a picturesque venue located near Sevenoaks in Kent with a unique 18-hole course and recently renovated functions and events suite.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the site's daily operations and managing all aspects of the P&L. Reporting to Get Golfing's CEO, you will lead a dedicated venue and golf management team and work closely with colleagues to drive revenues, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and make a significant charitable impact.

Requirements
Management and guardianship of the Member and Guest experience
Lead and motivate the Redlibbets team including clubhouse, catering and front of house, golf operations, golf sales and venue sales to ensure a high-quality product
Lead and motivate the senior on-site team to deliver outstanding success
Ensuring the site and surrounds are presented within Set-To-Sell guidelines
Oversee all sales, operational and financial aspects of the venue to meet targets
Ownership and accountability for the site P&L and achieving set budgets
Presentation of monthly trading position including variance analysis to CEO/CFO
Ensuring the site is compliant with all relevant legislation including H&S and licensing
Build relationships with customers and suppliers to drive loyalty and repeat business
Implement marketing strategies to attract new members, golf days and venue bookings
Train, develop (and recruit) the senior management team to achieve and perform well
Deliver great events that are appropriately costed and meet the required margins
Work closely with the course management team to maintain and improve course conditions to deliver an exceptional golfing experience
Manage relationships and projects with third parties including suppliers & contractors
Embody Get Golfing's ethos and approach of inclusivity, sustainability, and community
Knowledge
Proven experience as a General Manager in the golf, leisure, or hospitality industry
Proven experience in revenue generation, event sales and achieving secondary sales
Strong awareness and understanding for golf and ideally, golf course management
A passion for hospitality, the guest experience and growing a business
Skills
Strong leadership with a track record of successfully managing and motivating sales and operations teams to deliver quality standards and achieve ambitious budgets
Strong business acumen and financial management skills, particularly P&Ls
Competence to influence site performance through effective P&L management
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
An acute eye for detail with strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to support, train and motivate colleagues, and drive accountability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software and reports/reporting
Strong evidence-based decision-making ability to manage team and grow revenues
